Sending us documents on behalf of your own clients

Some of the people who send us documents are not the person named on them. Agencies, relocation firms, language schools and other translators pass work to us for their own clients. This page is for them. It is the whole arrangement: what the discount is, what it does not cover, and what you agree to by using it.

The discount

Earned on documents in a calendar month, not on the size of any one order. That is deliberate rather than incidental. A family sends ten documents once; a reseller sends ten every month. Keying the discount to order size would drop a large family into reseller pricing carrying obligations they never accepted.

What the discount does not touch

The certificate of accuracy is never discounted. It is a fixed accountability cost, not a volume good. It is the line that carries our legal responsibility for the translation, and putting a volume price on that would be selling the one thing that cannot be sold cheaper. Postage is also outside the ladder.

The discount applies to translation work. Nothing else on an invoice moves, and a reseller can never pay more than a direct customer would for the same documents.

What you agree to

These are conditions of the arrangement rather than guidance. They exist because the certificate of accuracy is a statement of legal accountability, and everything below follows from that one fact.

Your client can always reach us

The certificate carries our contact details, and you may not obstruct or replace them. If your client writes to us we will answer them. We will not discuss your commercial arrangement with them, and we will not solicit them.

What this arrangement is not

It is not a partnership, an endorsement, or an accreditation. It does not make you a certified translator, and it does not let us act as one for a purpose we have refused. We never guarantee that any authority will accept a translation — not to you, and not to your client through you.

Getting set up

Write to us and say roughly how many documents a month you expect and what languages. There is no application form and no fee. The ladder above is applied to your invoices once the volume is there; it is not something you buy into in advance.
