Good to know
- Thai Buddhist years are the Gregorian year plus 543. Taiwan Minguo years are the Gregorian year minus 1911.
- Japanese eras: Meiji, Taisho, Showa, Heisei and Reiwa, each with its exact start date. Year 1 of an era is written gannen. Meiji 1 to 5 used the old lunar calendar, so those years are not converted by the day.
- Hijri months start by moon sighting, so the date on your document can be a day either side of the calendar result. We use the Umm al-Qura and civil (tabular) calendars built into your browser.
- Persian and Hebrew dates use the calendars built into your browser.
- Nepali Bikram Sambat has no formula, so it uses a published month-length table for BS 2000 to 2083 (table source: github.com/medic/bikram-sambat, Apache-2.0). Check against your certificate.
A guide only. The date printed on your document is the one we translate.
