What our certified translation looks like

A specimen of a finished translation, made by the same program that makes a real one. Every fact that a real order fills in is shown as a [bracketed] placeholder, so no real person appears here.

The first page is a clean, shaded layout; the second is the Certificate of Translation; a copy of the original is attached after it.

The parts, by number

  1. Title block. The name of the document in English, and the language it was translated from and into.
  2. The source document box. Which document this is, who issued it, when, and how many pages the original has.
  3. The shaded rows. Each field of the original on its own row: the label as printed, our English for it, and the value beside it. Shading alternates so the eye keeps its place.
  4. Translator’s notes. How marks that are not text, such as a seal or a signature, are shown in [square brackets], and that names and numbers are kept exactly as printed.
  5. The certificate page. The Certificate of Translation: the translator states that the translation is complete and accurate, with their name, role, qualifications, language pair, date and place.
  6. Signature. The translator signs here.
  7. One stamp slot. A single box for the translator’s stamp, where they have one.
  8. Issuer. Polyfetti, as the company that issues the certificate, with its address and contact.
  9. The attached original. A line listing what is enclosed. A copy of the original document follows the certificate in the delivered file.

Our certificate is a signed statement of accuracy. It is not a sworn translation, and we do not notarise or issue apostilles. Orders are open for Japanese to English and English to Japanese, for official documents, business text and copywriting. Every other language pair is Coming soon.
